Saffron is for South Asian households cooking Indian home food — including people watching blood sugar, heart health, sodium, protein, and fiber — who don't want to switch to a Western diet. The method is portion, pairing, and familiar swaps: keep the grain, pair it, serve a smaller katori.

A fourteen-dish recipe library covers chole, masala dal, sambar, ragi dosa, chicken kuzhambu, and more, each with per-serving calories, protein, carbs, fiber, saturated fat, sodium, and glycemic load, plus ingredients by aisle, steps, health notes, and swaps. The plate builder works by hand in household units or by photo: SnapPlate sends a picture to a vision model, normalizes the scan onto the plate, and returns totals, insights, and a send-to-grocery action. A thirty-five-food explorer compares up to three foods side by side, and the grocery list merges recipes or the current plate, grouped by aisle.

Around the food sits a community loop: dietitian Q&A threads, a family recipe exchange with a dish-submission form, saved and recently-viewed dishes, and a dietitian dashboard with a review queue and engagement charts. Onboarding focuses the whole app on the visitor's health goal.

Fourteen dishes with search and filters for diet, region, meal, goal, and time, each with full per-serving nutrition, health notes, and swaps.

Plate builder + photo scan

Grocery by aisle

One list merged from recipes or the plate, grouped into produce, spices, grains, lentils, dairy, meat, and pantry.

Community + dietitian workflow

Ask-a-dietitian threads, recipe exchange, dish submissions, and a review dashboard for dietitians.
